MCP Project 52--Words

I've joined in a 52 project with MCP Actions over on flickr. It's neat to see others interpretations on the weekly theme. I had fun doing this week's theme on "words". A nice cold coke with lunch while the girls are at grandma's house is only better when it's in a nice old-fashioned glass bottle. Yummy! ;)

Winter Wonderland

I'd really like to post a recent picture, for the I Heart Faces photo challenge, but living in the "Banana Belt" region doesn't provide for much "Winter Wonderland" fun. We're surrounded by mountains with lots and lots of snow right now, but we haven't had a chance to venture out in the snow yet. Hopefully soon. Allie can't wait to ride the sled and tube with all her cousins.



This was taken almost a year ago. It was Sydney's first time out in the snow. She actually didn't seem to mind it too much and we enjoyed just watching Allie and daddy build a snowman.

I Heart Faces--Paper

I haven't entered an I Heart Faces contest in a while but when I saw what my little "angel" has been up to today, I decided it would fit this week's "paper" theme. She was unrolling the toilet paper, and then putting it in the garbage. At 13 months, I'm pretty happy that she likes to clean up after herself. :)

You know the saying, "A picture is worth a thousand words". It's true, especially when the photo is done in photojournalist style. That's the point of photojournalism. The photo tells the story.

I could tell you all about these boys' adventure by the creek, but doesn't the picture say enough? :)

I Heart Beaches (Seriously!)

I do. I REALLY, really do. I grew up on the California coast and then went to school on the white sandy beaches of Florida. I love the feel of the sand between my toes and the sweet smell of the salty sea air. Ahhh, I can almost smell it now!

Being in the north central part of California now, I rarely get to the beach (it's been two years). The closest thing we have is a lake. A very large lake, but still not quite like the real thing. So, my "beach" pictures are more like "lake shore" pictures.

My favorite subjects just enjoying each other and a day at the "beach".
